Set up cadosy GPSR Shield product safety information in Shopify
For merchants who have verified product safety information and want to organize and display it using a Shopify theme app block.
Product instructions reviewed . Interface labels may change; current plan terms are shown in Shopify.
From installation to a checked result
Add the relevant economic operators
Enter the manufacturer and applicable EU responsible operator information you have verified. The app does not research or generate these details.
Complete and review one product
Enter the product identifiers, image and warnings. Review the saved information and use the review-and-publish step; a saved draft is not published.
Open the selected product's template
On Home, choose the product you reviewed. Check the input and published-snapshot results separately. Use Inspect this product’s template in Theme Editor. Add GPSR Safety Info only if the block is missing; do not add a duplicate. Check its position, heading and visitor-region setting, then save any theme changes. An editor-only setup note explains the first blocking category.
Check the intended product view
Open the same product in a private preview, or on its storefront page if it is already published there. Check the actual safety information, selected country or market and language. A Shopify draft product can be checked privately; you do not need to publish it for sale just to test. Unpublished GPSR app data intentionally does not display. A private preview does not prove visibility on the live store.
Optionally record your own check — Free
Return to the selected product on Home and choose Record or review my display check — Free. After you personally see the expected information, select Private preview or Storefront, optionally enter the observed country and language, and confirm your check. Reload to see the saved time. The record is a merchant report, not an automated visibility test or legal certification. Changes to observed product data or the assigned template can prompt a recheck; theme settings and every customer's view are not monitored.
Reuse prepared safety information with Pro
From Bulk assignments, open Reusable profiles. Choose a prepared source product and review its manufacturer, responsible operator and authored warnings before saving a profile version. Filter and explicitly select the target products, prepare the saved preview, inspect the changes and approve draft assignments. Keep the page visible and online; pause, reopen and explicitly resume remaining work. Download individual results and review each product before publishing. This does not copy product model, batch or image.
Common questions
What does the Pro 500-product management limit mean?
It counts distinct products registered for profile management in this installation. The existing managed products and newly selected products must fit within 500 unique IDs; reusing a managed product does not add a second slot. Removing its management link leaves Shopify safety information unchanged. Free individual editing, publishing and display are not capped by this limit. The existing 20-row CSV import and 2,000-product scan remain separate allowances.
What does a safety-profile assignment copy?
The selected manufacturer, responsible operator and authored warning references in the reviewed profile. Missing fields mean unchanged, not deletion. Product model, batch and image stay product-specific. Shared original records are not overwritten. Revisions are separate versions; inspect the recorded impact and select the targets before starting another saved preview.
Does a bulk assignment continue when I close the app, and does it publish?
No new requests start while the page is closed, hidden or offline. A request already sent may finish. Saved progress can be reopened and explicitly resumed. Pause does not cancel a request already dispatched. Results distinguish saved-and-verified, unchanged, conflict and other review outcomes. Assignments prepare GPSR drafts; review and publish individually. The job does not activate Shopify products or sales channels.
Does the review inbox automatically cover every catalog change?
No. Capture is opt-in and notifications can be missing or delayed. Enabling also adds currently managed products; explicit rechecks read selected records. This is not a whole-catalog monitoring guarantee, automatic correction or storefront visibility test. A review acknowledgment does not publish a product.
What are the saved-work limits?
The app retains up to 50 jobs and 1,000 profile versions per installation; each reusable profile contains up to 20 authored warnings. Export results before explicitly removing finished or cancelled history. The review inbox holds up to 1,000 records and its separate observation history keeps up to 1,000 entries from the last 90 days, pruning old history when a new entry is saved. These are bounded work records, not a complete publication audit or legal certificate.
What remains available when I move to Free?
When Free becomes effective, individual editing, publication and the storefront block remain, as do saved-result viewing, downloads, rechecks and management removal. New Pro work needs verified active access. Stop inbox notifications explicitly if you no longer want them. Shopify may defer a paid-to-Free change until the current paid cycle ends; check the hosted page for the actual contract. Uninstalling cleans up app-side work but does not ask the app to delete merchant-authored Shopify safety records.
Can I use a direct contact form instead of an operator's email address?
Yes. In Add operator or Revise an operator, enter an email address or a complete HTTPS direct contact-form URL. Verify that consumers can contact that operator directly; a general homepage, phone number or private login link is not a substitute. The app checks input format, not delivery, accessibility or legal suitability. The block displays the saved contact as text. Saving a revised operator leaves the original and linked products unchanged: select the revision, review the product and publish when appropriate.
Do I need to enter the same operator name twice?
No. Enter the operator identifier you have verified in Name or registered trade name / trademark. The additional registered trade name / trademark field is optional. Do not infer a legal manufacturer from a Shopify vendor label. You remain responsible for the identity and role of each operator.
Why does an operator show Not confirmed for EU establishment?
New operators start as Not confirmed. Choosing a country does not confirm establishment: select Yes or No only after you have checked the operator's status. The app preserves all three states and does not verify legal status. A country alone does not grant the EU-manufacturer exemption in the app's publication checks. Previously saved records are not automatically reclassified; use a separate revision if a recorded confirmation is inaccurate.
Why is GPSR safety information not showing on my Shopify product page?
First check that GPSR Safety Info is added to the template actually assigned to this product, and save the theme. In the theme editor, an editor-only note identifies the first blocking category: unpublished GPSR data, missing inputs, an unverified reviewed snapshot, warning review or the selected visitor region. Open the same product in GPSR Shield to inspect its saved data. Do not publish merely to clear a notice: verify the information first, then reopen the template and check the product page separately. The note is not shown to customers.
Why did safety information disappear after changing a product photo or warning?
The block compares current information with the snapshot you explicitly reviewed and published. A changed image, image description, identifier, operator or warning can require another review, even if the new value is complete. Review the changes in GPSR Shield and explicitly publish again when appropriate. The app does not silently approve new safety information.
Does a matching published snapshot prove my customers can see the block?
No. It confirms the app's stored data comparison, not that the block is installed in the right live template. Check the actual product page after saving the theme. All visitors is the default; EU visitors only uses Shopify's selected country or market, not the customer's IP address or a guaranteed shipping destination. A theme-editor preview is not legal certification or proof of every customer's view.
Is the storefront block included in Free?
Yes. The editor, review gate, theme block, operator revisions, warning edits, product search, a separate sample check of up to 50 products and the optional record of your own display check are included. Pro adds the listed batch and larger gap-scan tools. Saving a display-check record does not publish a product or upgrade your plan.
What does the Free 50-product sample check?
It checks entered data for potential gaps in the first 50 products in ascending product-ID order. It is not a random or representative sample and says nothing about unexamined products. It does not determine legal compliance, verify the published snapshot or test actual theme visibility. Results are saved separately from your Pro scan, and no Shopify product is changed. Open the Free sample from the app home to start.
What does a saved display check prove, and how long is it kept?
It records that someone using your store account reported checking this product, with a time, view type and optional country/language. It is not an individual staff audit or proof that customers can currently see the block. The app keeps the latest report per product, up to 500 products per store, and removes reports older than 90 days when this feature is used. You can clear a report in the app without changing the Shopify product. Development-store reports are marked as tests.
Does installing the app make my business GPSR-compliant?
No. It organizes and displays information you provide. It does not decide whether a product is excluded, determine product-specific rules or handle every GPSR duty, such as accident reporting or recalls. Check the official sources and obtain advice appropriate to your products and selling markets. You remain responsible for accurate information and your applicable obligations.
Where should I install or manage my plan?
Use the official Shopify App Store listing to install. Open the app from Shopify Admin after installation. Any paid-plan approval happens in Shopify, never through a payment form on this page.
Compare 500-product monthly plans
Public offers checked .
GPSR Shield Pro is USD 4.49/month with a 7-day trial. It includes reusable safety-information profiles, reviewed draft assignments for 500 distinct managed products, saved results and an opt-in review inbox. Free individual editing and display remain available; the 20-row CSV and 2,000-product scan allowances are separate.
Complyo Growth lists USD 4.99/month for up to 500 products, with bulk assignment, CSV import/export and multi-language safety information. It also lists USD 39.99/year, approximately USD 3.33/month when divided by 12. That annual equivalent is lower than GPSR Shield's monthly price and requires annual billing.
This is a dated comparison of public offers, not an independent test of equivalent features, performance or support. GPSR Shield currently has no annual plan. Check each app's current Shopify plan terms and workflow before choosing; no market-lowest or legal-compliance guarantee is implied.
